After one quick scroll on social media or after listening to one newscast you will be as convinced as I am that the world wants to be noticed. From scantily clad images, to crazy stunts, from life risking photos to excessive displays of wealth and pretty much everything else in between the world is, in some cases, literally dying to be seen. Yet, the church remains silent and still.
It’s time we stand up, step out, and share the good news we have been given. Romans 10:13-15 says-“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved". How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!”
The world wants to be noticed. Be the one who notices and praises the good in your fellow man. Be the one who shares the good news someone shared with you one day. Be the one to remind them that they don’t need a worldly audience because even the very hairs on their head are numbered (Matthew 10:30) by a God who loves them more than all the followers in the world ever could.
